My inspiration for painting comes from nature and from the cosmos without any preconceived limitation. I like to create images, not of what is but of what could be.  I am self-taught. My my professional background as a lawyer and law professor in China presents a stark contrast to my obsessive desire to create visual art.  Perhaps this powerful need to paint was always lurking in the unconscious, and then, without warning, it burst to the surface.
